Getting Started with Shopify
Understand the feature-gated Shopify integration, embedded-app installation flow, OAuth permissions, initial fulfilment import, and webhook verification.
Availability: Shopify support is implemented behind a feature flag, but direct Shopify onboarding in the OrderTrackify dashboard is currently labelled Coming soon. Use an authorised app installation link supplied by OrderTrackify; production availability depends on the deployment.
Integration Model
The embedded Shopify app authenticates with OAuth 2.0, provisions a merchant/store record through the feature-gated bridge, imports a bounded set of recent fulfilled orders, and relies on signed webhooks for subsequent order and fulfilment changes. Broad production provisioning remains blocked until the bridge verifies per-shop session context instead of trusting one deployment-wide bearer.
Before You Start
- Obtain an authorised installation link from OrderTrackify.
- Use a Shopify administrator allowed to install apps.
- Confirm the deployment has
FEATURE_SHOPIFY=trueand valid Shopify app credentials.
After Installation
Verify the embedded app dashboard opens, the store appears in OrderTrackify, recent fulfilled orders are visible, and a new test fulfilment with a tracking number creates or updates a shipment.
