Configure local WooCommerce health digests and use the SaaS preferences link for merchant-wide SES alerts without creating duplicate delivery paths.
Two Alert Layers
Merchant-wide billing, usage, reports, connection, and exception-rate messages are platform emails sent by the SaaS through SES. The plugin links to those preferences. Local WordPress alerts are reserved for WooCommerce-specific connection, scheduler, source, and local delivery health.
Local Alert Controls
The Merchant Alerts tab exposes enabled state, thresholds, and the daily digest hour in the store timezone. Messages go to the WordPress administration email. Failed sends remain eligible for the next scheduled run because deduplication is written only after a successful send.
Avoid duplicates: Do not configure the same merchant shipment condition in both the local WordPress layer and the SaaS platform-email layer.
